Doug Schadle

Chief Executive Officer/Co-founder

Doug has been in Franchisor Development and Sales for more than 20 years. Having co-founded Rhino7 in 1999, Doug has an extensive background in:

Franchise brand infrastructure & development systems
Franchise consultant/broker lead development and cultivation
FDD (Franchise Disclosure Document) assistance
Franchisor operational systems for franchisees
Franchisor growth strategies and territory development
Franchise sales systems and management
Creating Franchisor brand growth

Doug graduated from Western Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering with a concentration in marketing. Doug grew up in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and now resides in Cary, NC. Doug is married to Kris Schadle and has two children, Joe & Alexandra (Alex).

John J. Cohen, Jr.

President/Co-founder

John is a franchise industry veteran of more than 15 years. He has held positions ranging from entrepreneur to senior level executive, all of which has given him a unique insight and perspective in building, operating and growing successful brands. In 1999 John co-founded Rhino7 to assist franchise start-ups, as well as existing franchises to develop and grow their brands.

In addition to starting several successful companies, he has held top-level positions in franchise sales in large organizations. John has also been extensively involved in the training and professional development of franchise consultants for more than 10 years.

Brian Garoutte

Vice President of Development

As a multi-brand manager, Brian has been educating candidates and franchise consultants since 2001. Brian works closely with his development team and conducts ongoing training and support for the team during all steps of the candidate investigation process. In addition, Brian helps manage all aspects and expectations of the franchisor, providing regular communication and feedback on system growth.

Growing up in rural Iowa, Brian graduated from Iowa State University with a B.S. in Business Marketing. While in college, he had the opportunity to work at the SAM’S Club/Wal-Mart corporate offices in Bentonville, Arkansas for several months on a Marketing Internship. During his senior year, he was accepted to the SAM’S Club Management Training Program and was given the opportunity to work on the training curriculum on a part-time basis, while maintaining a full-time status in college. After graduation, Brian was immediately placed into an Operations/Sales Management position, where he had the opportunity to work in several regional stores. Brian accepted a position with Rhino7 in April 2001.

Brian enjoys trout fishing, snow skiing, tennis, photography and international travel.

Matt Dillon

Vice President of Development

Matt Dillon has been an executive multi-brand manager at Rhino7 since 2002.

Matt specializes in designing and implementing comprehensive programs intended to assist prospective franchisees through the evaluation of Rhino7's franchise concepts. He also trains the development team on the attributes of the brand and all aspects of the franchise investigation process, supervises the ongoing progress of each franchise candidate, and provides support to his development staff.

Prior to joining the Rhino7 team in 2002, Matt completed his studies at North Carolina State University in Engineering, then began his professional career with Nortel Networks. For 12 years, Matt was involved in Project Management, Business Line Management and Major Customer Sales Accounts.

When Matt is away from work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three sons.

Rita Perkins

Office Manager & Franchise Coordinator

Rita has been the Office Manager and Franchise Coordinator for Rhino7 since 2001. Her primary responsibility is to keep procedures and policies running smoothly for all aspects of the franchising process. She relates and works closely with Franchisors, Consultant Networks, prospective Franchisees, and the office staff to give them the support needed to make their experience with the Rhino7 staff pleasant and productive.

Rita provides support to Rhino7 as an internet lead specialist, handling IT support and accounts receivables/payables. She also manages and creates territory mapping for Franchisors to give them the optimum growth throughout the U.S.

Rita has a BS in Elementary Education with Master work in Curriculum & Instruction. Before starting in the Franchising industry, she was an Elementary teacher for 11 years.In her leisure time, Rita enjoys travel, horseback riding, hiking, yoga and spending time with her family and friends.

Pat Cohen

Chief Financial Officer

Pat has been with Rhino7 since 1999. Her responsibilities include:

Prepare and maintain regular financial planning reports
Prepare monthly profit and loss forecast by division (vs. budget)
Prepare weekly cash flow forecast
Complete analysis of financial results
Develop recommendations (strategic and tactical)
Develop and execute analysis of various business initiatives (e.g., opening new operations, asset acquisition, new service launches)
Develop and maintain capital budgetAssist in development of financial planning and analysis reports

David Hines

Broker Relations

David has been the Consultant Relations Manager for Rhino7 since 2008. He works closely with consultants and educates them on the franchise brands that Rhino7 represents. His relationship with the consultant community provides an avenue for franchise consultants to clearly understand the franchise systems and information that they need to share with their clients. David's additional responsibilities include lead management, technology updates and IT support.

David graduated from Western Carolina University with a BS in Business Administration & Law. He enjoys exercising, Duke basketball, recreational sports and spending time with friends and family.

Kevin Culkin

Director of Franchise Sales

Kevin has been with Rhino7 since 2006.

He has 20 years experience in Franchise Development Sales Management. Prior to Rhino7, Mr. Culkin ran the franchise development departments for Buffalo's Cafe, a 60 unit full service casual dining chain positioned primarily in the Southeast. He also helped to develop Chop Chop Chinese To You, Floor Coverings International and Professional Carpet System.

Chris Otter

Franchise Development Manager

Chris has been with Rhino7 since 2010.

He has more than 15 years experience in franchise development and systems creation for large and start-up franchisors. Chris specializes in creating winning relationships with the nation's premier franchise consultant networks. He enjoys working with clients in a coaching relationship to help discover the right fit for all parties. When not in the office, Chris is an avid boxing and fitness enthusiast and enjoys being with his two children.

Neal Weiss

Franchise Development Manager

Neal has 20 years of experience in Franchise Licensing & Sales Development, Marketing and Support. Prior to joining Rhino7, Neal developed Master Franchises for the Cartridge World Franchise in Southern California, selling out all the master rights in that region. He has also been a part of several Franchise Development Teams, including Budget Blinds/Closet Tailors, SGO Designer Glass, Certa ProPainters, Chop-Chop Chinese to You and Professional Carpet Systems.

Neal is a graduate of SUNY New Paltz. He grew up on Long Island, NY and then lived in Atlanta, GA for 18 years. He has resided in beautiful Southern California for the past 5 years. Neal is an avid golfer and loves hiking, camping, skiing and exploring the mountains, canyons and beaches with his dog, Buddy in all that California has to offer.

Jen Olson

Franchise Development Manager

Jen's professional experience includes:

10 years in Senior Franchise Development Sales with Service Brands International
Multi-brand franchisor company experience with Molly Maids, Mr. Handyman, 1-800-DryClean and Protect Painters
Excels in broker relations and referrals, as well as working non-broker channels, to cultivate qualified franchisee candidates

Jen is a graduate of Michigan State University and holds a Bachelors Degree in General Business Administration. She resides in Bellingham, WA with husband and two sons, and enjoys boating, ATV riding, and traveling in her spare time.

Chris Cohen

Development Manager

Previously, Chris worked with Rhino7 as Director of Franchise Sales and was pleased to rejoing Rhino7 in 2010. A native of North Carolina, Chris obtained a BSBA in Business at East Carolina University in 1997. His previous experience includes Financial Advisor with Merrill Lynch, as well as Operations Manager for Ads in Action in Apex, NC.

Chris enjoys running, offshore fishing, and trips to the coast in his free time.

Careyann Golliver

Franchise Development Manager

Having started and assisted in running a franchise business herself, Careyann Golliver has a unique perspective when interacting with those looking to take the leap into franchise ownership. Her skill sets in franchise business and development have brought Handyman Matters great success and growth. As part owner & an independent franchise sales arm for Handyman Matters Franchising Corporation, Careyann’s roles included all aspects of creation on marketing, sales, processes and procedures that has helped Handyman Matters grow beyond the beginning years in the basement of the CEO’s own home to becoming a national & international franchise brand, single-handedly awarding over 249 placements. She is also responsible for heading up, creating and implementing solid sales processes and procedures for resell business transactions.

Careyann's varied business experiences prior to franchising include running an International Department for safe waters relating to drug & alcohol random testing in relation to compliance, including pulmonary function testing, CBC, whole-health testing of seamen for international waters to creating a franchise options arm for a local VR Business Broker in downtown Denver.

Careyann thrives on helping individuals learn what it takes to become a business owner. With over 20 years of results-driven sales, she excels in building & maintaining strong person relationships with those that want to pursue the purchase of a business of their own.

Careyann enjoys a healthy and active lifestyle to include Ballet Physique, hiking, hunting & mountain biking. She is active locally with Denver Divas ~ Entrepreneur Women’s Group, Franchise Business Network and the International Franchise Association as well as a volunteer in her community. She strives to maintain a lifestyle reflective to a strong commitment of balance, determination and drive in her own life and helps others around her achieve this as well.
